Intelligence was received here last week from Niles, Michigan, that CHARLES AMELIUS, Jr., formerly in the employ of S. Sorg, the jeweler, but who moved to Michigan in 1872, committed suicide by shooting himself through the head.  Despondency, caused by drink, is supposed to have led to the rash act.  He leaves a wife and several children.  His father, Charles Amelius, Sr., resides in South Mansfield.  His funeral took place on Friday last.
